Description of charity’s activities and outcomes: 
The Australian River Restoration Centre believes in sharing knowledge, restoring and protecting rivers for all to enjoy, and valuing people and the work they do. Over the past year we have focused our efforts on achieving the following five aims:(1) Inspiring and supporting people who are passionate about rivers.(2) Creating and distributing the RipRap Magazine.(3) Sharing knowledge in multiple ways.(4) Collaborating and networking with a range of organisations.(5) Managing on-ground river and science communication projects.Some examples of our achievements in these five areas include: -a newly updated website (www.arrc.com.au) providing people with free access to regularly updated resources organised around the themes of (A) Managing Rivers, (B) Valuing People and (C) Sharing Knowledge. -the production and distribution of a free monthly e-newsletter providing readers with a mix of science, stories and event notifications.-the production of four copies of the RipRap Magazine, a high quality publication bringing together science and practice around different river management themes.-provision of free mentoring to five women working in river management.-provision of a contact point for people with queries about river restoration in Australia about who to get in touch with for particular skills, knowledge and expertise.- presentations at Universities, Schools and conferences on the importance of valuing people and rivers.
