Description of charity's activities and outcomes:
Samaritans provides a network of services in the Central Coast, Newcastle, Hunter, Mid-North Coast and western NSW regions. These services help many people including children, youth and people living with a disability or with mental health concerns, parents, families and those who are homeless. Samaritans encourages people to become valued members of their communities by exploring their talents, strenghtening their skills and relationships and developing solutions which meet their specific circumstances and needs. Samaritans also engages in advocacy making a public stand for the rights of those marginalised in our community. A re-valuation of $99,396 as a negative other comprehensive income cannot be entered in the financial information section due to the system limitation. Hence the disclosure of such is included here.
