Description of the charities activities and outcomes
• In respect of animal welfare RSPCA NSW inspectors investigate complaints
against all kinds of animals in all kinds of situations and exercise powers under the
Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act (1979).
• Education is pivotal to RSPCA NSW’s vision of preventing cruelty to animals.
RSPCA NSW is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO Code: 70238), and offers
accredited and non-accredited training to staff, members of the animal care industry
and the general public on pet-related topics.
• RSPCA NSW’s Community Programs cover aged care, domestic violence,
homelessness, youth and community, indigenous community animal health and
community branches and volunteering through a variety of support and assistance with
animal pet care and welfare for individuals or groups and families affected by hardship.
Support provided by RSPCA NSW include financial assistance and temporary or
emergency pet boarding.
