The Salvation Army is a worldwide Christian movement. In Australia we are known as one of the nation�s largest welfare providers. We are dedicated to helping Australians in crisis. Raised up by God our mission is to: � Transform lives � Care for people � Make disciples � Reform society During the year the principal continuing activities of The Salvation Army Australia Territory Social Work comprised of (in alphabetical order): � aged care; � chaplaincies including hospital, court and prison, defence forces; � counselling services; � crisis support including community housing service; � drug, alcohol and gambling addiction rehabilitation; � emergency/disaster services; � family support services including family tracing; � humanitarian services; � legal service/representation; � overseas aid; � sale of donated goods; and � youth, employment and training programs.
