GDF and its members and partners have continued to develop and promote Unity in Diversity initiatives around the world:
- JUL 2018, GDF gained UN ECOSOC Consultative Status
- SEP 2018, GDF representatives from Germany, Australia, U.S.A and India presented a workshop on the vision of “United Civilizations (UC) at the 67th UN NGO/DPI Conference in NY. The UC initiative aims to serve as a ‘global citizens assembly’ for organizing communities and creating a global inclusive society and culture of peace. GDF serves as the nucleus for this movement.
- Oct 2018, GDF was set up as 501c3 in the USA
- Apr 2019, Unity in Diversity Nakuru Spring Camp was delivered in Kenya.
- Jun 2019, Unity in Diversity Club program was initiated in a bilingual school in Cameroon.
- GDF hosted monthly webinars for its international members to help coordinate and develop efforts.
Description of charity's activities and outcomes
- We provided mentoring and support for partners around the world who are bringing people from communities/different cultures together in their local areas/countries.
- We provided support to our USA counterparts to set up the entity that will further the GDF mission.
- We provided support to our members in Kenya to develop the camp program. We helped train the teachers who are leading the camps.
- We supported Cameroon members to develop the Unity in Diversity Club concept. We provided assistance for the program to gain support from the Ministry of Culture in Cameroon.
- We supported ongoing Unity in Diversity programs in India
- Each week, we collated and published news articles on the GDF website. These are articles which concern communities around the world related to our areas of interest.
