Description of charity’s activities and outcomes
In the last financial year Ipswich Hospice Care operated a 7-bed healthcare facility, providing quality palliative care to terminally ill people and their families in a caring home-like environment. There was a significant increase in the numbers of patients we supported throughout the year, compared to last year. Through the neighbouring Community Centre called Hildas House, we provide bereavement support to people dealing with loss of a loved one, as well as education to health professionals and the community on palliative care, death and dying, loss and grief. Through the year our bereavement services provided substantial support and multiple programs directly benefitting 440 grieving clients. Annual report available from web www.ipswichhospice.org.au
