Description of charity’s activities and outcomes
The museum opened on a weekly basis for visitors. We supported adult day activity programs for the improvement of elderly people in the wider community, residential accommodation and nursing homes. Our outreach program made visits to a variety of aged care facilities. We ran programs for schools with visits, role plays and activity programs. Over the year we serviced many family history enquiries which were world wide in origin. We had a number of new items collected and catalogued including aboriginal artefacts and photographs. We supported a variety of activities in the district by providing historical material and advice on the history of the area. In conjunction with the RSL operated events to mark the Centenary of ANZAC and a photographic exhibition for the dedication of the RSL rooms to a long serving member.
