Description of charity’s activities and outcomes:
As a charitable institution HMRI raised funds for, and co-ordinates the activities of health and medical research within the Hunter New England Local Health District and the University of Newcastle. HMRI works to attract community donations and government and industry support through holding fundraising events, receiving bequests and ongoing donations from regular donors, workplace giving, supporters holding events on HMRI's behalf or supporting and promoting the HMRI brand.
