Description of charity’s activities and outcomes
Complementing our direct first aid support to the community is St John's growing Community Education initiatives. Project Survival and Project Resilience are free first aid training seminars and workshops that aim to reach people who are most in need of these valuable, life saving skills but are unlikely to receive them. Our First Aid Skills in Schools program exploded during 2014. We trained 10,885 children during the year. St John provided this training totally free to the children and totally free to the schools. This program was so successful it won the National Resilient Australia Award in 2013 and is only getting better.
