Caritas supports long-term development programs in impoverished communities in Africa, Asia, Indigenous Australia and the Pacific — helping oppressed people to rediscover their dignity by taking greater control over their lives and overcoming poverty. Programs are delivered through partnership with locally based community partners.
Description of charity's activities and outcomes:
We are an international aid and development organisation of the Catholic Church in Australia. We:1. Deliver long-term development programs 2. Help people regardless of ethnicity or political beliefs 3. Work with the poorest of the poor 4. Response to disasters and humanitarian crisis.5. Maintain our admin costs to within 10%-12% to ensure up to 90% of funds are spent on core activity areas.
