Summary of activities

10x10HQ is dedicated to engaging and providing the resources for our teams of skilled young volunteers in Australia, USA, UK, Hong Kong, Canada and New Zealand to identify and support innovative new and early-stage grassroots organisations that are working to solve social problems within local communities. During the 2020 reporting period 172 mostly Millennial and Gen Z volunteers gave 3750 hours of their time to raise over $515,000 for 50 registered grassroots charities in 10 cities. We successfully pivoted in response to the Covid-19 outbreak, from live in-person to digital events, introducing a new focus upon charitable cause-areas most impacted by the pandemic including homelessness, food insecurity and mental health. We collaborate with groups of 10 volunteers to form Project Committees who then access to 10x10 resources and platform to engage supporters, raise funds, awareness and volunteers at live, digital and hybrid events. Since 2018, 10x10's Millennial and GenZ volunteers have identified and selected grassroots organisations serving people in community, with Poverty & Homelessness (18%), Education & Employment (15%), Mental Health (15%), Women & Children (14%) and Disability (7%) the leading cause areas.
