Summary of activities
We Undertook advocacy for the importance of infant mental health to the growth and development of children into adulthood, especially in Infant Mental Health week in June 2020. We developed materials specifically focusing on care of Indigenous infants. We provided training for professionals through our branches across Australia (mainly online) in assessing and supporting the infant parent relationship. We continued to work towards establishing competency standards for all working with infants 0-3 yrs. We updated our website position papers on important topics for parents in caring for infants. We provided scholarships to individuals to support their career training.
