Since 2015, Rally for a Cause has actively supported local Fraser Coast families and individuals affected by life-limiting medical conditions or whose lives have been disrupted by detrimental circumstances beyond their control.

While the idea of a car rally is not unique, Rally for a Cause's four day event was designed specifically to allow small business owners, who cannot take much time off work, to participate. Recognising the contribution of the local community to its fundraising, the charity's constitution ensures that all the funds it raises go back into helping needy families in the local Fraser Coast community.

Café Outside The Square’s mission is to provide food, training and work experience for disadvantaged and vulnerable people, including those experiencing homelessness.

Director Tim Seymour-Smith says its Adelaide café and functions centre provides its main income stream.

"The predominant thing we do is we operate as a business, albeit not-for-profit. Our function centre does everything from birthdays and bar mitzvahs to baby showers. Customers love it that the margin we charge on that product is going back into helping people. In terms of the balance sheet, since 2017 we have grown seven or eight times. In terms of service delivery, it’s hard to quantify, but that’s also grown.”
