Summary of activities
Educating The Future (ETF) Australia Limited is a youth-led, registered Australian not-for-profit organisation. ETF's primary activity is the provision of direct benevolent relief to impoverished
children aged 3 - 5 who live in disadvantaged, high priority regional communities of Timor-Leste. As such, ETF aims to provide in-need children in Timor-Leste a better quality of life by improving their access to preschool education. In particular, this is achieved by constructing pre-school education infrastructure in partnership with in-country organisations, including the Ministry of Education (MoE), Timor-Leste, Local Municipal Governments, School Management Committee's, for-profit and partner non-government organisation. ETF works with MoE to identify in-need communities based on an evidence-based priority list, conduct community socialisation, implement operational, financial and risk controls, and manage the ongoing provision of Government-run preschool facility, curriculum and teaching staff. ETF raises funds in Australia and engages Australian and Timorese youth in their programs to improve people-to-people links within the Indo-Pacific region.
