Summary of activities
- FISH works to break intergenerational cycles of trauma, poverty and engagement in the justice system for Aboriginal people by addressing the socio-economic determinants of wellbeing: Education, Housing, Employment & Justice in a culturally secure and sustainable way.
- FISH's programs operate nationally, and include remote community development, housing and enterprise, education programs in schools, cultural competency training, justice rehabilitation and therapy programs, Aboriginal Home Ownership Initiative, and Aboriginal art programs.
- FISH was awarded the 2019 United Nations Human Rights Award, WA, and was a selected finalist for the 2019 Banksia Sustainability Awards. Both awards recognise contributions towards the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
