When KidsXpress began in 2005 it launched a world first, transdisciplinary approach to early intervention trauma therapy; uniquely combining modalities of expressive therapy including music, art, play, dance/movement and drama therapy. Through our program we support children that are living with the impacts of physical and emotional trauma, including; grief, loss, abuse, neglect, and victims of physical and sexual violence.At KidsXpress we give vulnerable children the opportunity to step into a creative and nurturing world, where its safe to explore any big emotions or troubling experiences. With our expert therapists there to support children throughout their journey, our expressive therapy program encourages children to use music, art, drama, dance and play as tools to; better understand and express themselves; connect with others, and; use their creativity and imagination to support their health & wellbeing. By intervening early and empowering kids with new skills and confidence, KidsXpress supports vulnerable children in overcoming their adversities and preventing negative coping strategies from developing as a result of the severely negative impacts of toxic stress on a young childs brain.
