Summary of activities

Construction Charitable Works (CCW) is a not-for-profit organisation that provides case management, support and referral services to construction industry workers and their families in the ACT and surrounds. CCW provides holistic individualised case management through a detailed psychosocial assessment of clients. Clients goals and support needs are discussed with them to identify what support and any referral pathways are required. Family members of building and construction industry workers are also able to access the welfare support services. CCW provides a number of our referrals at no cost to clients as we believe when someone asks for help their capacity to pay should not stop them accessing quality services in a timely manner. CCW attends sites following workplace accidents, near misses and/or death/injury of worker on-site. We have the following referral pathways: - Private registered psychologists - Generalist counselling - Drug and Alcohol counselling - Drug, Alcohol and gambling residential programs - Crisis accommodation room During these site visits CCW talk to workers about trauma and potential impact on workers.
