Summary of activities
Employment & Training
We provide the following pro bono services to start up and small Indigenous businesses:
1) Providing assistance and guidance on executing on the business plan as provided by Independent Consultants.
2) Providing assistance and mentoring to Indigenous Directors on Governance aspects of running their business
3) Providing assistance and mentoring to Indigenous Managers on Operational Management aspects of running their business
4) Training and mentoring Indigenous business owners on Financial management and administration aspects of running their business
5) Tendering for and winning work then passing it on to Indigenous businesses (as subcontractors)
6) Assisting in business development to find and win work directly from a customer, until they are capable of doing it consistently
7) Assisting Indigenous businesses in applying for loans by helping them navigate through the information requirements and helping them put it together
8) Training and assisting Indigenous business owners in their statutory (eg ORIC, ASIC, ATO) and other (eg, Bank) reporting obligations
9) Liaising with Government bodies providing assistance to Indigenous small businesses on behalf of Indigenous business owners in order to get assistance for their businesses.
10) Mentoring Indigenous business owners in aspects concerning staff management
