The Australian Council for International Development (ACFID) is the peak body for Australian non-government organisations involved in international development and humanitarian action.

The ACFID Code of Conduct is a voluntary, self-regulatory industry code of good practice.

This comparison table shows how the ACFID Code of Conduct maps to ACNC Governance Standards 1–5.

If a charity complies with the ACFID Code of Conduct, it is likely to meet Governance Standards 1–5.

However, the ACFID Code of Conduct does not map to the ACNC Governance Standards in an exact way. The ACNC may still require a charity to demonstrate how it meets the Governance Standards.

To ensure your charity is meeting all ACNC Governance Standards, refer to our guidance on Governance Standard 6, which is not included in this table.
