The ACNC has released a new Action Plan to support its Statement of Commitment to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, outlining how we will turn our commitment to reconciliation into practical action.
The plan has four key areas which include:
- building a deeper understanding of First Nations cultures, governance and rights
- collaborating with First Nations organisations and other regulators to reduce red tape
- creating a culturally safe workplace where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employees can thrive
- strengthening accountability and transparency across the organisation.
The plan aligns with actions in the Australian Taxation Office (ATO)’s Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP), and priorities such as the National Agreement on Closing the Gap.
