Whether your organisation is already a registered charity or is considering applying to become registered, our charity registration self-assessment tool is a useful resource.
The self-assessment tool is designed to assist any organisation wanting to assess eligibility to become registered as a charity, as well as any registered charity wanting to assess if it is continuing to meet ongoing obligations. These obligations include notifying us of any changes to the names of people on the board or committee, submitting an Annual Information Statement, complying with the Governance Standards, and for those that operate overseas, with the External Conduct Standards.
While using the tool, you will be prompted to consider your organisation’s charitable purpose, activities, programs, who benefits your programs, and important policies and procedures that ensure sound management and governance.
This tool is for your use only. The ACNC will not use it to assess your organisation's eligibility for charity registration, or other purposes.
