There will be four new members joining the ACNC Advisory Board next month (as the term of four current members finishes).
The Hon Dr Andrew Leigh MP, Assistant Minister for Productivity, Competition, Charities and Treasury, announced that Ms Alice Macdougall, Professor Ian Murray, Mr Krystian Seibert and Dr Rosy Walia would begin three year terms on the ACNC Advisory Board from 2 August.
ACNC Commissioner Sue Woodward AM acknowledge the appointment of new members, saying "Our new Advisory Board members have extensive and diverse experience across a wide range of areas relevant to the charity and not-for-profit sectors I look forward to working with them."
Ms Woodward also thanked the four outgoing members of the Advisory Board – Emeritus Professor Myles McGregor-Lowndes OAM, Ms Anna Bacik, Mr David Crosbie and Ms Rosina Loria – for their invaluable contributions to the Advisory Board over the past three years.
“Their contribution has been considerable, always raising issues facing charities as they deliver services in communities across Australia and abroad. With reflections and insights that have supported our ability to best fulfil our role as independent national charities regulator,” Ms Woodward said.
From 2 August 2026 the ACNC Advisory Board will comprise: re-appointed members Ms Sarah Davies AM (Chair), Ms Sarah Harrup (Deputy Chair), Mr Ian Hamm; Mr Nick Maisey (continuing under his existing term); new members Ms Alice Macdougall, Professor Ian Murray, Mr Krystian Seibert, Dr Rosy Walia; and ex-officio members from each State and Territory.
