The ACNC is inviting Queensland charities to ‘Meet the Regulators’ on Tuesday 6 October 2026.
This free event will bring practical compliance information directly to the organisations and volunteers who need it, covering key areas affecting charities, not-for-profits and community organisations.
There are two sessions to choose from:
- 10am to 12:30pm - In person at Townsville Stadium.
- 5:30pm to 8pm - Online and in person at the Von Stieglitz Meeting Room, Citylibraries Riverway, 20 Village Boulevard, Thuringowa Central.
There will be speakers from agencies including the:
- Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC)
- Australian Tax Office (ATO)
- Office of Fair Trading (OFT) which oversees fundraising in Queensland
- Blue Card Services which administers Queensland's Working With Children Check blue card.
Whether you’re an experienced committee member or have recently joined a community organisation, this event will help you better understand the compliance landscape and the responsibilities that come with running a charity or community organisation.
