The Government has today released the draft regulations and explanatory statement for the proposed external conduct standards for registered charities.
Consistent with the ACNC Governance Standards, the draft regulations are a principles-based set of minimum standards of conduct, governance and behaviour that registered charities must comply with when operating outside Australia.
Submissions to the consultation are open until 5pm Friday 21 September 2018.
In addition to accepting written submissions on the draft regulations, Treasury will also be seeking to hold meetings with interested parties to obtain feedback during the consultation period.
