The Government has today released the terms of reference for a review of the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission legislation and announced appointments to the review panel

Dr Gary Johns has been named as the new Commissioner of the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC), following a formal announcement by Assistant Minister to the Treasurer, the Hon Michael Sukkar MP.

Earlier this year, the Commonwealth Government released a discussion paper on potential changes to the deductible gift recipient (DGR) system. Today the Minister for Revenue and Financial Services, the Hon Kelly O’Dwyer MP, announced that a number of the proposed changes will proceed.
