Under Governance Standard 4, if the ACNC has suspended or removed a responsible person (such as a board or committee member, or trustee) from a charity, we can also disqualify them from being eligible to be on the governing body of any other registered charity.

We can only disqualify a person if we have given them notice and there are good reasons to disqualify them to protect public trust and confidence, and support a robust and vibrant not-for-profit sector.

If we disqualify a person, their name will be listed on the ACNC Disqualified persons register. The ACNC has not yet disqualified any responsible persons.
