The 2026 Annual Information Statement (AIS) is now available in the ACNC Charity Portal.
Charities that report for a standard financial year (1 July 2025 to 30 June 2026) can log in to the Charity Portal and complete their AIS. While these charities need to submit their AIS by 31 January 2027, we encourage them to report early rather than waiting until the due date.
To help prepare and report, we’ve launched the 2026 AIS Hub, which features different resources, including:
- A simple checklist outlining what to do before you start and information you’ll need to have handy.
- A video taking you step-by-step through the AIS so you can see each question before you start.
- A detailed guide covering all the questions, with practical examples and information.
The AIS collects important information about a charity's activities, programs and finances over a 12-month period, with much of it published on the ACNC Charity Register. The Register receives millions of visits each year from potential donors, volunteers and grant makers, so it is important that details are accurate and up to date.
Information about charity programs also helps demonstrate the vital work that charities do across Australia and overseas in areas such as education, health, environment, social services and the arts.
When you're ready to report, log in to the ACNC Charity Portal and submit your AIS through the 'Manage reporting' section. If you need help accessing the Portal, guidance is available on our website.
